JusticeWalk: A Social Justice Ministry
This Conference Year 2024, Turner Monumental proudly announces the launch of JusticeWalk, our dedicated Social Justice Ministry. JusticeWalk is founded on the belief that faith and civic responsibility go hand in hand, guiding us not only in our personal lives but in our collective action towards creating a just and equitable society.
Why JusticeWalk?
JusticeWalk symbolizes the journey of faith that compels us to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God, especially in the public square. It represents our commitment to stepping forward in faith, informed and engaged with the social issues that impact our community and our world.
Our Mission:
To empower our congregation to live out their faith through informed engagement with social issues, active participation in the democratic process, and a commitment to social justice. JusticeWalk aims to illuminate the path to a society that reflects God’s kingdom on earth—where justice, peace, and equality reign.
What We Offer:
- Education and Awareness: Host workshops, seminars, and discussions to keep our congregation informed on key social issues, from racial justice to economic inequality.
- Voter Registration and Participation: Facilitate voter registration drives and provide resources to encourage informed and active participation in the electoral process.
- Civic Engagement: Create opportunities for our members to engage in community service, advocacy, and public policy initiatives as expressions of their faith.
